ST. LOUIS, MO - July 9, 2002 - Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the
world’s leading provider of billing and CRM to the communications
industry, announced today the successful deployment of its fraud
management solution at Deutsche Telekom. This announcement follows a
series of successful Amdocs Fraud Management implementations at many
of the world’s largest communications providers including ATL,
Americel and Tess in Brazil, 012 Golden Lines and Cellcom in Israel,
and others. Amdocs Fraud Management provides advanced functionality
to capture lost revenues and enhance profitability by identifying,
tracking and eliminating fraud in a specific line of business and
across multiple lines of business including wireline, wireless and
next generation services. The Amdocs Fraud Management solution for
Deutsche Telekom will monitor more than 40 million subscribers and
process approximately 100 million call detail records per
day.
Amdocs Fraud Management provides communications
operators with capabilities to significantly reduce and eliminate
all cases of fraud including PBX hacking, call card cloning and
subscription fraud. The system utilizes multiple technologies, such
as expert systems, artificial intelligence, statistics and other
information theory techniques, to monitor subscriber usage patterns
and detect any abnormal usage. The system then dynamically issues an
alert to fraud investigators when fraud is detected. Additionally,
Amdocs Fraud Management utilizes advanced rule-based capabilities,

ensuring the system meets providers changing requirements over time.
“Amdocs has worked with many of the world’s leading
communications providers demonstrating its ability to deliver a

Sales at Amdocs. “Amdocs Fraud Management allows communications
providers to recoup lost revenue, enhance profitability and focus
efforts on customer satisfaction.”

employs advanced knowledge discovery techniques and flexible
detection mechanisms to profile customers and detect abnormal
subscriber usage indicative of fraud, helping communications service
providers effectively combat fraud in real time. Amdocs Fraud
Management is designed to support communications providers across
